GRTV: Mass Effect 2 Review

I know I haven’t blogged in a while, but to be honest I don’t really have the time right now. Take it from me, never ever review two MMOs at the same time. Ever. I am busy trying to juggle Global Agenda (yes, I called it a MMO, sue me) with Star Trek Online, while at the same time working on our international site and GRTV. MX vs ATV: Reflex came today, so there’s that, and I still haven’t finished Mass Effect 2. I did just finish Dante’s Inferno (which I reviewed in writing), Dark Void (which I reviewed on video) and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (also reviewed in writing, with video review coming up).

Above is GRTV’s review of Mass Effect 2, as spoiler free as we could possibly make it. I thought I’d take this moment and mention, if I haven’t done so before, that the reason why all GRTV shows are in English is that we’re a pan-Scandinavian magazine that also has websites in German and English. So we’re not trying to be extra Internet-savvy by speaking English, we’re just trying to reach out to as many people as possible with the resources and manpower we have. Hope that explains it!

Too long, didn’t watch the video? Mass Effect 2 is awesome. Now if you excuse me, I’m going to crash on my couch (not “cough”, as I wrote on Twitter last night).

GRTV: Another day at the office (bloopers galore)

Everybody loves bloopers, right? The editing guys dug through the archives of the year and found a lot of them – why do so many include me? I comfort myself with the fact that this episode also feature Thomas a lot.

Peter Moore does a quick cameo and there’s also a clip from my disastrous interview with two of the guys from Mythic during Gamescom. I was asking questions about Marc Jacobs and Bioware that they did not want to answer. Sorry about that!

It’s been a fun year with GRTV, we’ll just have to see how 2010 turns out.

GRTV: Gaming fashion, Gamereactor style

The third episode of the GRTV Christmas calendar and our own personal fashion show. We had a blast recording these, just like last year, and I guess I’ll be posting some of the episodes that I think came out the best. This one I like mostly because of the totally awesome Scribblenauts hat we found for Benke.

GRTV: Torchlight review

Me and Thomas practically forced our camera guys to shoot this review of Torchlight, during which we praise it to no end. Can’t stand listening to how good a particular game is for 6 minutes? Then skip this review and go straight to Steam and buy the game.

I’ve skipped talking about the game here, it’s been doing the rounds in the blogosphere since release, but I’m glad I get to express my love for Runic Games’ Diablo-clone through video instead. Dragon Age: Origins is getting the video treatment as well and that review should be up on GRTV early next week.

GRTV: Starcraft II single player preview

I’m sorry for just doing another GRTV embedding, but I’ve spent the majority of last week in Germany covering Gamescom and I’ve had no time to do any blogging. I’ve had a blast, despite the stress, and I guess I’ll get back to both what I saw there and my initial thoughts on Cataclysm during the next couple of days. Until then, I leave you with the Starcraft II preview above. As I’ve mentioned before I went to LA a few weeks ago to check out the first single player campaign and this video has been under embargo ever since. In it me and Thomas have a discussion about innovation in games, especially in the RTS genre and how Starcraft II fits into that.

If you take the time to watch it, and please do, feel free to drop a comment and tell us what you think about the format we chose. We haven’t done a preview this way before, I am really satisfied with it, but I’d love to get some feedback on it. If people like it I think we’ll do more shows in this style – I personally prefer it a lot to our old content. In many ways GRTV is still in its cradle, but we are working hard to develop it as much as we possibly can. Thus feedback is always, always welcome.

GRTV: F2P-ranting

I get to rant about free-to-play vs subscription based games on camera for 10 minutes. Phew. And yes, it was a really, really bad hair day. It will have to come off!

GRTV: Dawn of War II

I am sorry for how tired I look and sound in this video review of Dawn of War II. I was so sick that my knees were literally shaking underneath the table from just standing up for too long. And no comments on the hair please, I know it looks awful. I need a haircut, badly.

GRTV: Flower

Me and Thomas Blichfeldt talk about thatgamecompany’s spiritual successor to Flow, Flower, on GRTV. I was so sick earlier this week and standing outside and filming…I guess my face shows exactly how I’m feeling.
